No, I'm just lazy. :]

'Ello all. So, I finally found the time to return to Deviantart. Well actually...this was more like a saving grace. Let me explain..

So in 2008, I graduated from high school [yay me, right?]. There was a point I got so caught up in school, college, and life in general that my photography and art got put on hold. That's the real world for you I guess. It didn't really help that I got offered a scholarship to a digital arts college around here and parents flat out refused that I go to art school. Since then, things have been kinda spiraling. I won;t go into detail because its simply too much to explain. But I'm at a point in my life where I feel like I've lost myself.

I had a total Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory moment. A few days ago, my mother was brushing my hair and found a white hair on my head. Mind you, I'll be 20 this year, so I'm still young.....but in that one hair..I thought about how fast my life is passing and of all the things I have done, lived, felt, created. But when I though about all of those things, I couldn't think of many things that I've done for myself.

Except this. Except my art. It's the one thing that I can always say, "Yes. This is my creation and I made it because I want to. Because it comes from my soul."

So I've come back to it. Maybe it will give me back some of my sanity. And I don't care how awful my art may be. At least it'll relieve some of the things I keep inside. Because that's what art is all about, right?

Anyway. End rant. Hope you all have had a wonderful year so far. Best wishes for 2010. :]
